Trump calls Hollywood 'racist' in scathing attack following controversy around new horror The Hunt
Donald Trump has called Hollywood “racist” in a war of words against the entertainment industry following the controversy surrounding new film The Hunt.
The president took aim at the industry on the White House lawn and again on Twitter, accusing it of attempting to “inflame and cause chaos”.
In two separate tweets, he wrote: “Liberal Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate! They like to call themselves ‘Elite,’ but they are not Elite. In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite.
“The movie coming out is made in order to inflame and cause chaos,” he continued. “They create their own violence, and then try to blame others.
“They are the true Racists, and are very bad for our Country!”
Trump had also earlier lashed out at Hollywood during a White House press conference ahead of a fundraiser he was attending.
“They treat conservatives, Republicans, totally different than they treat others,” he said.
